Miss Campbell grew up in a small town, in a very large family. She was raised by her grandparents and has 11 brothers and sisters! This unique childhood experience significantly impacted who Miss Campbell is today, and allows her to see the value of community, outdoor education and intergenerational learning.

Outside of the classroom Miss Campbell’s hobbies include camping, arts and crafts, reading, space exploration and learning more about her culture. Currently Miss Campbell is learning how to play the ukulele.

Miss Campbell’s education background includes attending a K-12 school, before continuing her education at Thompson Rivers University (TRU). At TRU she began in general courses, before setting on getting her B.Ed and majoring in geography. She is currently a member of the Indigenous cohort, which has been amazing!

When it comes to Miss Campbell’s teaching experience, her volunteer work was completed in the same K-12 school she attended. The majority of her volunteer time was spent in the 4/5 class, however she enjoyed visiting the grade 2/3’s. In her first practicum Miss Campbell was in a grade 5 class, and she really enjoyed that as well. At the moment, early intermediate is where Miss Campbell is aiming on doing her teaching.
